Update on our Neighbourhood Plan 17.7.17

David Gluck and Sarah Chester met at 11am 17.7.17. The aim of the meeting was to progress the NHP work (which has not progressed much over the past few weeks due to the community shop opening). The notes below summarise the meeting earlier today.

Our evidence gathering phase is moving to completion.

David has the first piece of evidence, provided by Stuart Spensley on Amenities and Services for Church Fenton, he will add this to the draft Neighbourhood Plan (NHP) document and sent to Sarah for information / to show the way to add the detail to the document.

Sarah will gather evidence from the rest of the working group and collate all in the draft document. The aim is to collate in the NHP draft document and send to David for Monday 24.7.17 to allow him time to review and send back by 25.7.17 with any comments / areas where improvement / further information is required.

Sarah will then update with the relevant information and send back to David for 21.8.17

On Tuesday 22.8.17 we plan to hold a NHP meeting, where we discuss the document content and review the policies for the village. Once the working group / meeting members have agreed on policies we then push forward the consultation with the villagers / Parishioners.

Starting 23.8.17 we’ll creation of a leaflet and questionnaire for the Parishioners to advise progress made and ask for opinion on policies (timeline for survey deadline 15.9.17)

Once response from survey received the well formed draft NHP document will be created ready for submission to SDC (30.9.17)

SDC will undertake a Screening Environmental Assessment (SEA) this process can take up to six weeks.
Sarah to pre advise SDC that the NHP document will be submitted early October and also contact the agencies on behalf of SDC to progress this phase.

Once the SEA is completed we then are in a position to progress the Reg 14 before Christmas and are nearing the date for submitting the plan.

NHP update February 2017

The meeting will carry on from the good work from our last meeting where we identified key themes of importance in terms of the future development of the village. The agenda will loosely be as follows;

  • Welcome and introductions
  • Administrative arrangements for the group
  • Key themes for the Neighbourhood Plan and early tasks for evidence base development
  • Structure of the Neighbourhood Plan

The key thing is to divide up some tasks so that we can collect the evidence needed to support our plan. This needs people to volunteer to have even a small involvement as we just don’t have the finances to have everything brought together by our planning consultant. There will be lots of help and guidance, but we do need individuals to get involved if we are to arrive at a good robust plan that the whole village can get behind.

School Bus

We still don’t have an answer as to whether we can get someone from NYCC to attend the meeting on Thursday to discuss the situation regarding the proposal to cancel the school bus for fee paying pupils. The plan is that if we can get someone there we will deal with the bus issue at 7pm before we begin the Neighbourhood Plan session.

Any updates will be posted here.
