I really think it is time a new road should seriously be considered from London road to Common Road/Lane to by pass Barkston Ash village.
Barkston Ash Main Street, Church Street and Common Road can not cope with the knock on effect of traffic and works vehicles from all the new builds and Leeds East Airport.
On many occasions throughout the year Ulleskelf Road is closed due to flooding. Diversions to Ulleskelf, Ryther and Church Fenton are put in place via Barkston Ash village. creating even more traffic.
Neither Barkston Ash Primary School or Barkston Ash Village Hall have car parks , so the village is always congested at peak times with park cars.
